Writers' Village

I have started a 7 or 8 weeks long on-line writing lessons in mid-April. It is taking place at the Writers' Village University. The free, introductory lessons I have signed up for cover the basics of fiction writing, including the development of character voice, covering all the senses in writing, writing from different points of view, building up towards a central conflict of a story, etc. etc. The students learn by completing a less than 500 words assignment for each lesson, and by giving other classmates feedback.

So far, it has been a good place to network with other writers. Here I am just going to define writers as folks who write. It may be too broad of a definition. Yet going for the more specific definition just would not cut it for me, neither.

I have taken several pieces of the Sims 2 inspired short stories there to be re-written and retrofitted for the class assignments, which means, the several Sims 2 stories I am working on won't appear on my Sims 2 story site for another long while.

In the mean time, I should try to babble here more regularly, at least to mark the writing progress I have made, or perhaps the lack of it, LOL!
